Today I’m going to share with you how to make the best birria at home! now let me tell you many of you have tried it and there has not been one person that has not been happy with it! ? I have tried to change a few things and I just keep coming back to this recipe! This one is the BEST OF THE BEST!!! If you remember the first video was just too long and now I just tried to keep it short and sweet ? to the point !!! Hope you enjoy it! Tip: enjoy this delicious birria by itself, with a side of beans and rice, ramen, tortas, burritos, literally on everything!!! ALSo if you don’t want to use oil to fry the tortilla, you can use more meat with fat in it, so your consome can come out more fatty ?
Ingredients: (my pot is 8.5qt)
5 lbs chuck pot roast or you can use goat!
2 lbs short ribs
1 white onion
1 head of garlic plus 7 cloves
2 roma tomatoes
22 New Mexico or guajillo Chile pods
3 Pasilla chile pods
5 chile de árbol
8 bay leaves;divided
5 whole cloves
1 inch Ginger
1 inch Cinnamon stick
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp whole black pepper (peppercorn)
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp whole cumin
2 tsp thyme
1/4 cup white vinegar
Salt I used 3 1/2 tbsp
